Ford received a five star safety rating for the newly engineered 2015 Ford Edge! Ford’s team went to great lengths to incorporate top-of-the-line technological advancements in the SUV; and their hard work has certainly paid off as the vehicle sailed through government crash tests, earning the highest safety rating available.
With a host of standard safety features and a multitude of driver assistive features, the 2015 Edge earned five stars in the individual front and side crash tests. The model earned four stars in the rollover crash test, resulting in the five star overall rating.
Standard safety features like the active glove box knee airbag and rearview camera give drivers peace of mind, while options like collision warning with brake support and adaptive cruise control complemented by the newly available 180-degree front camera provide a second set of eyes on the road.
“The new Edge delivers on the quality and handling customers have come to expect from a Ford vehicle, while infusing more innovation and advanced technology to create a vehicle that we think will maintain its leadership position in its segment,” said JD Shanahan, Ford Edge chief program engineer.
